- Look out for anything that might cause accidents, such as loose handrails or loose carpet areas.
- Check electrical outlets and electrical hazards like exposed wiring.

Filters and Vents
- Clean or replace filters on A/C and heaters.
- Vacuum anywhere lint or hair may get caught.

- Test out all the faucets and double check that they don’t leak or drip.
- Grind ice cubes in the garbage disposal to clean the blades, then flush with hot water and baking soda.
Autumn Inside/Outside Items
- Make sure all windows and doors shut tightly so you can keep extra cold air out.
- Lubricate door hinges and tighten screws if necessary.
- Deep clean carpets and rugs.
- Tidy up outside so the yard is free from trash.
- Clear debris and store outdoor hoses or similar items inside to keep them from weather damage.
